Alex Hoye, CEO, Latitude

Alex Hoye is currently CEO of one of the UK’s largest and longest established search marketing agencies, Latitude. Latitude run search marketing campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest brands including Virgin Games and Bet365.
Alex has been a key commentator in the press giving his thoughts on the implications of Google’s decision last year to allow gaming companies to advertise on the search engine.
Media and marketing have been in Alex’s blood his entire career: His first business was an ad-supported periodical he ran as a side business at Stanford University. In 1991 he joined Disney where he dug into traditional media business models - programming including GMTV, terrestrial and satellite broadcasting, and film. Alex perceived the power of online models for media while at Harvard Business School in 1994 and thereafter as a management consultant for McKinsey & Co. working with newspaper, television and music companies migrating to the digital medium.
